The week-long "Yoga Vigyan Shivir"of Baba Ramdev concluded here on Saturday leaving behind a trail of memories for the people of the state to cherish and learn from.

The conclusion of the camp left hundreds and thousands of people across the state disappointed as they were deeply immersed in the overwhelming activities at the shivir.

From mass prayer and "paranayam", the guru's faithful followers were heavily into the festivities of the shivir, as if it was a never-ending show which had pulled out the masses from their inertia and ignorance.

Saturday being the last day, there was a maddening rush at the Gandhi Maidan in the morning session as thousands thronged the place to get a glimpse of Baba Ramdev.

The police had a tough time managing the crowd which comprised of about 65,000 people.

As the participants were engaged in doing the seven kinds of "pranayam", the yoga guru wholeheartedly thanked the people of Bihar for their overwhelming response. He also promised to come back to Bihar soon.

"Every beginning comes to an end. Though today is my last day in Bihar, my feelings for the state and the people will continue to grow,"said Baba Ramdev. "I have wonderful memories of my time in Bihar. So much so, that my experience and my relationships with people here have positively affected my life as well."

Baba Ramdev said that from April 1 onwards some "vaidyas"of the Patanjali Yoga Peeth will camp here permanently. Medicines will be given free of cost to the poor at the camp, he added.

Many wished Baba Ramdev a long life so that the suffering humanity could benefit from his yogic teachings.

"Only a few people have touched my life. Baba Ramdev is one of them. I feel blessed to have known him and to have shared a words or two with him,"said an MU professor, who religiously attended the shivir every day.

For 69-year-old Manjari Saxena, a resident of Bhagalpur, who was here to attend the shivir, "It was an enriching experience. I am going back home with a new zeal this shivir has injected into my life."

State urban development minister Ashwini Chaubey, who played host to the yoga guru at his official bungalow here, said, "I have learnt yoga for the first time in my life.

I never knew yoga could be so simple and useful... It is a lifetime experience."
