The BJP today praised yoga guru Ramdev, whose herbal medications had triggered a controversy, for popularising ancient Vedic treatments.

"Ramdev's yoga revolution is not only a successful health therapy for both mind and body but it is also popularising our millennia-old Vedic traditions right among the common masses," BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said.

Naqvi, who was speaking as chief guest at Ramdev's yoga class here, credited the yoga guru with bridging social disparities by organising yoga camps.
