Haryana is planning to introduce yoga classes in government schools across the state inspired by popular yoga guru Ramdev.

The likes of Nitish Kumar, Lalu Yadav, Chandra Babu Naidu and Sheila Dixit were in Haridwar to support yoga guru Baba Ramdev's new venture. Vice President Bharon Singh Shekhwat inaugurated Ramdev's ayurvedic hospital Pithanjali at a mega function on Thursday. "I'm here because this is one of the greatest things that is happening in India," said Naidu.

The Bihar government has decided to project yoga guru Baba Ramdev as their new brand ambassador. The government's aim is to bring to the world's notice the backwardness of the state and the state's often ignored virtues through the yoga guru.
