The Central Industrial Security Force unit at Mahipalpur in the Capital had a very special early morning visitor this Sunday -- yoga guru Swami Ramdev. Roping in the much talked about expert to make the men in khaki posted at Delhi airport better at their job, a special yoga camp was organised to teach the CISF functionaries the healing powers of "pranayam''.
After winning millions of followers in India, renowned Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev is all set to conduct his training camps on foreign soil, starting with Pakistan in July.
Building bridges between science and sprituality, Indian Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev and Nobel laureate in Chemistry, Professor Harry Kroto are coming face to face here today under the aegis of a leading business chamber. Baba Ramdev, along with Professor Kroto, will share the Roundtable on Science and Sprituality- Building the Bridge, in which President of the US-based Nanobiosym, Dr Anita Goel and President of Heseltine Foundation for Medical Science and the Arts, Dr William A Heseltine will also participate.
With yoga Guru Swami Ramdev in Bihar, fitness fever seems to have gripped top politicians with several of them attending his camp as trainees. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Speaker Udai Narayan Chaudhary, and Urban Development Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, who attended the yoga camp on the opening day yesterday, sang paeans to the Baba's simple ways of teaching the traditional art of keeping fit.
